Focused

Intensives offer the opportunity to deepen your healing process by dedicating the time and energy you need to the places you are feeling stuck rather than trying to fit your needs into the traditional weekly flow of therapy.

Effective

Growing research shows intensives to offer quick and lasting relief. Intensives can be more economical given the laser focus on specific issues or traumas without the regular check in and closing of weekly sessions.

Personalized

This time is dedicated and tailored to your unique needs, providing the space and modalities that resonate most with you. You don’t need to change therapists to participate in an Intensive; it can seamlessly complement your existing therapy as an adjunctive approach.

An Intensive Might Be a Good Fit If…

  • You’d like to enhance your therapy experiences by adding on an intensive, working through the issues that still feel stuck
  • If you have specific goals and are looking for a more tailored experience.
  • If you have done weekly therapy and are feeling stuck.
  • If you are a slower processor and feel rushed by the standard therapy session.
  • If the standard start-and-stop flow of weekly therapy sessions doesn’t work for you.
  • If your lifestyle creates barriers to setting aside regular time during the week for hour-long sessions.

What Does an Intensive Involve?

20 Minute Consultation Call

A free 20 minute call where we will talk about what you’re coming in for, what you’re hoping to gain from the intensive, answer any questions you have, and determine if this is a good fit for you.

60 Minute Pre-Intensive

We’ll spend some time getting to know each other and building trust. We’ll gather background information on what you want to work on, clarify your goals, and practice some effective coping skills together. This will occur 1-2 weeks before your intensive.

Integration Workbook

You will be provided a workbook prior to your intensive that helps you prepare for the intensive, explore where you would like to focus and offers tools for integration after the intensive. I will spend dedicated time exploring this workbook prior to the intensive in order to customize your experience to your needs.

Personalized Intensive

Customized treatment plan tailored to your specific needs utilizing specialized trauma healing modalities curated specifically to you and your goals. Extended personalized time for processing and releasing stored trauma.

60 Minute Post-Intensive Integration Session

We will schedule a 60 minute session 2-3 weeks after your Intensive. At that point, we will discuss any shifts, insights, or changes you have noticed since the intensive. We will identify any remaining work and determine the next best steps for your healing.

How do I know if I would benefit from an intensive?

You can request a free 20-minute consultation call to determine if you are a good fit for an Intensive.

An Intensive is likely a good fit for you if you:

  • If you have specific goals and are looking for a more tailored experience.
  • If you have done weekly therapy and are feeling stuck.
  • If you are a slower processor and feel rushed by the standard therapy session.
  • If the standard start-and-stop flow of weekly therapy sessions doesn’t work for you.
  • If your lifestyle creates barriers to setting aside regular time during the week for hour-long sessions.

If you’re still unsure if you’re a good fit for a Therapy Intensive, feel free to reach to out and we can discuss further. If you’re not a good fit, we can find other treatment options to help address these concerns before working up to an intensive.

Will my insurance cover an intensive?

Most insurance do not cover intensives. I’m happy to provide a superbill that you may submit to your insurance company for potential out-of-pocket reimbursement. This will require a diagnosis to be provided to the insurance company.

While my intensives are a larger up-front investment, you get way more transformation per hour in an intensive than you would in regular therapy sessions. These sessions allow for more time to fully process through the places you find yourself stuck and come to a feeling of resolve, that may take many regular therapy sessions to achieve.

Will I need more than one intensive?

This varies for each person. The Consultation and Pre-Intensive Session should give you an idea of what to expect based on your specific needs. The post-intensive session will explore and identify where you are at in your healing journey.

Can I do an intensive if I also do weekly therapy with you or with another therapist?

Yes! An Intensive complements the work you are doing in individual therapy, and can often accelerate or deepen your process in ongoing therapy sessions.

What is the payment schedule?

When we schedule your intensive, I require a 50% non-refundable deposit to hold your time. The remaining 50% is charged the day of your intensive.

What if I need to cancel?

I understand that there are unavoidable circumstances that happen. If you need to cancel, please reach out as soon as possible to re-schedule your time. Please note that if you cancel entirely and do not reschedule, your initial 50% deposit is non-refundable.

Can intensives be done virtually?

Yes, However many find that doing the day-of work of the Intensive in-person ads immense value to the experience.

What should I expect the day of the intensive?

We will discuss preparation and ways to maximize your time around your intensive during out consultation and pre intensive sessions. It is important to honor what your body is asking for in session, whether that be a break, time to renourish your energy with food and/or drink, or even adding in movement. It is also advised to clear the rest of your day of any activities or events, so you can continue to offer attention and responsiveness to your process
